1. Scope & acceptance
This Privacy Policy explains how MEC Designs LLC processes personal data when you visit our websites, use our Partner Agent chat, submit inquiries, schedule calls or meetings, request or purchase consultations or AI-agent design/build services, or pay invoices (including with cryptocurrency).
By using our Services, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.
This Policy is the privacy notice of MEC Designs LLC as a merchant and service provider. It is not the privacy policy of third-party platforms we use. Where those platforms process data as independent controllers or processors, their own policies also apply.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Identity & contact: name, email address, phone number, company/organization, role, and preferred contact method.
- Inquiry & partnership data: messages you send in forms or chat, investment interest (general, non-account), service preferences, scheduling details, and notes from calls.
- Commercial data: package selected (e.g., Discovery, AI Agent Design, Build Deposit), amounts, payment references, billing email, and related correspondence.
- Payment-related data you submit for checkout: may include wallet addresses you choose to pay from, transaction IDs, network, asset type, and confirmation status. We do not store full private keys and never ask for seed phrases.
- KYC/AML data when required: if a payment provider, banking partner, or law requires verification, you may be asked to provide government ID, proof of address, liveness/biometric checks, source-of-funds information, or similar materials — typically collected by the payment provider on their flow.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type/version, device/OS, language, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
- Usage data: interactions with the website and Partner Agent (message metadata, feature usage, error logs).
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 7.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Scheduling, email, CRM, analytics, cloud hosting, AI model providers, and payment processors (including crypto payment status and risk signals).
- Public or commercially available sources used for fraud prevention or business qualification, where permitted by law.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve our website, Partner Agent, and professional services.
- Respond to inquiries; schedule and conduct calls/meetings; deliver consultations and project work.
- Process payments and invoices (fiat and/or cryptocurrency), issue receipts/references, and reconcile accounts.
- Communicate about your request, transaction, project, or security/service notices.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; debug and secure systems.
- Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms.
- With your consent or as otherwise permitted: limited marketing about MEC services (you may opt out anytime).
- Create de-identified or aggregated statistics that do not reasonably identify you.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not use special-category data (e.g., health, religion, political opinions) as part of ordinary site use.
4. Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR or similar applies)
- Contract: to take steps at your request and perform services you purchase or request.
- Legitimate interests: site security, product improvement, B2B relationship management, fraud prevention — balanced against your rights.
- Consent: certain cookies/marketing, and optional chat features where consent is required.
- Legal obligation: tax, accounting, AML/KYC cooperation, and responding to lawful process.
5. Payments & cryptocurrency (NOWPayments and others)
As a merchant accepting crypto payments, MEC:
- Determines applicable personal-data rules for our customers and obtains any required consent or other lawful basis to collect, store, and process customer data for providing our services and enabling payment processing (including processing by the payment provider).
- Informs you that payment data may be transmitted to the payment provider (e.g., NOWPayments / FD Transfers LLC) to create invoices, generate deposit addresses, confirm transactions, handle refunds where applicable, perform risk/AML screening, and support the payment.
- Implements organizational and technical measures appropriate to protect customer personal data we control.
- Does not control on-chain public blockchain data once a transaction is broadcast; blockchain transfers may be irreversible and publicly visible.
Please review NOWPayments’ current policies before paying with crypto, including:
Payment data we typically receive back from processors includes: payment status, amount, asset/network, timestamp, invoice or payment ID, and limited payer identifiers needed for reconciliation and support — not your private keys.
6. Sharing & processors
We share personal data only as needed with:

If we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal data may transfer subject to this Policy or successor notice.
Service providers are expected to protect data and use it only for contracted purposes. Some providers act as independent controllers for their regulated payment or identity services.
7. Cookies & analytics
We may use:
- Strictly necessary cookies/storage for security, load balancing, chat session continuity, and basic site function.
- Preferences cookies (e.g., UI state).
- Analytics cookies or similar tech to understand traffic and improve the site (if enabled).
- Marketing cookies only if we deploy them and, where required, after consent.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site features (including chat).
8. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including:
- Inquiry/chat records: typically up to 24 months unless a client relationship continues.
- Contracts, invoices, and transaction records: generally 7 years (or longer if required for tax/legal holds).
- Security logs: shorter rolling periods unless investigating an incident.
- Payment-provider KYC copies (if any are shared with us): only as needed and permitted; primary KYC storage often remains with the provider.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to backup cycles and legal holds.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data (access controls, TLS in transit where supported, least-privilege practices, and vendor diligence). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and wallet keys on your side.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete data (subject to legal retention)

To exercise rights, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity. Authorized agents may submit requests where law allows.
California / similar U.S. state rights: We disclose categories collected (identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, professional information, and inferences limited to service delivery) as described above. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics beyond what is necessary to provide services you request.
11. Children
Our Services are directed to adults and businesses. They are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
